Castilla, the setting of Miguel de Cervantes’ novel Don Quixote, is the spiritual heart of Spain. The rugged plains are dotted with windmills, olive groves and historic cities. The region’s famed cuisine is highlighted by Manchego cheese and full bodied wines. Elefante is a joint partnership between Jorge Garcia Cuenca from Castilla la Mancha and Javier Murua of Rioja with the aim of creating affordable Spanish wines of true Spanish character.
Launched in Australia in 2009, the range is going from strength to strength in Australia and can now be found across Victoria, NSW, Queensland and Tasmania.
